Anyhoo… this is a very tasty traybake from the Asda magazine:
225g dates, chopped
125g butter
200g golden caster sugar
3 eggs, beaten
225g self raising flour
1/2tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp bicarb
2 tblsp instant coffee
100g chopped walnuts + some whole ones for decoration

Yes it’s true folks I am now a gold member (of Weightwatchers) – meaning I have reached my goal weight. Hooray!!
Actually I have reached the top end of the weight range but lets not quibble.

I’ve been looking for a real authentic American pumpkin soup recipe.

I’m a big fan of recipes that you mix together and bung in the oven while you go and watch ‘Strictly – it takes two’ and this is one such, almost exactly not dissimilar to one from the recent WeightWatchers magazine.

This month’s “No croutons required” is about salads or soups using fruit. Well, I thought, “that’s not for me – west of scotland – no fruit here!!” .
