Chestnut soup

Chestnut soup
Oooh eck, I sent this photo over from flickr and then forgot to go to the blog and add the post, what a scatter brain. I’ve been seduced by the easy charms of facebook and I’ve spent less time in blogland lately, I think I should stick here really as I’m not a people [...]

So [...]

Gnocchi with pumpkin

I’m a big fan of recipes that you mix together and bung in the oven while you go and watch ‘Strictly – it takes two’ and this is one such, almost exactly not dissimilar to one from the recent WeightWatchers magazine.
Vague Gnocchi with pumpkin bake recipe
Chopped pumpkin/squash (about the size of one little gnoccho)

Greek lemon rice soup

This month’s “No croutons required” is about salads or soups using fruit. Well, I thought, “that’s not for me – west of scotland – no fruit here!!” .
Actually, I racked my brains and couldn’t think of anything except dates stuffed with cream cheese (MMM) or chillis stuffed with cream cheese (MMMM).
Bit ordinary really.
Then at work [...]

Chocolate crumble marble cake

MMMMMMM this is one tasty cake!
I’m clearing out my baking cupboard and i want to go through all the recipes ripped out of newspapers and magazines that I’ve never actually tried and this is one of them.
This is by Dan Lepard from the Guardian Weekend magazine (1/3/08). {edit – in looking for that link I’ve [...]
