bluebells for bloomsday

I know I’m a day late but I had a spot of bother yesterday with my foot: very swollen and sore. I went to the doctor and he said it could be tenosinovitis (or something like that) or a stress fracture or gout! (I sure hope not).

Anyway I’m off work today with my sore foot, I felt a fraud this morning as it wasn’t at all sore when I got up but after walking the kids to school and hanging out my washing and taking pics of flowers it’s really sore again.

I’ll just think about flowers to make myself feel better: today in flower in my garden are (if I know the proper name I’ll put it down)-

Meconopsis sheldonii (blue)

Camassia (blue)

Bluebells (I think they’re the British ones, blue)

drumstick primulas (blue)

I sure love blue!

Also: Rhododendron (white)

Jacobs ladder (white)

Tellima (greeny-yellow)

Azalea (a vulgar pink it might have to go)

All the fruit trees and bushes are showing lovely blossom but this is quite a late spring I’m sure they would usually be in flower in April.

I would add more pictures to this post but I don’t know how! I’m so rubbish.

  1. I love the name of your blog and do feel fortunate that you posted just a day late for bloom day! You’ll figure out the pictures thing eventually, but just seeing the list of flowers makes me think you have a lovely garden.

Get well soon and thanks for joining in for bloom day!

  2. Gosh thanks for visiting!

Blogging royalty coming to see me!

I will keep trying on the photos thing but computers get me in such a rage of frustration I might chuck it out the window first!

Too many exclamation marks, I know.

  3. [...]   Am I a garden blogger?  A lazy blogger certainly. Once again I forgot about the blooms day thing, I’ve only actually remembered once! [...]
